ATLANTA — The Glenville pipeline to Columbus is unmatched and has a legacy that few other schools can claim. That pipeline was under the national spotlight on Monday in Mercedes-Benz Stadium as the Ohio State Buckeyes beat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the College Football Playoff National Championship. The last time Ohio State won a national championship, they did so behind quarterback Cardale Jones, a Glenville grad, in 2014.

Few things in sports are as serene as a Saturday morning tea time. That is, until golf’s most mediocre arrive. The Medicore Golfer’s Association (MGA) is a nationwide organization that aims to bring together golf’s most average (to below-average) golfers. Created in 2020 by Club President Jared Youtzy, Cleveland’s chapter of the MGA has become the largest in the country. "Toledo had a chapter, [I] played a tournament there, and I'm like, 'This would be perfect for Cleveland,'" said Youtzy.

It’ll be a family affair when Garfield Heights hosts Warrensville Heights on Thursday. For years, brothers Sonny—the Bulldogs’ head coach—and Demetrious Johnson have coached alongside each other for the Garfield Heights Boys' Basketball team. But they’ll stare across the scorer’s table for the first time Thursday night. Demetrious is in his first season as the head coach at his alma mater, Warrensville Heights. “I’ve coached at Garfield for the last 13 years,” Demetrious said.

The anatomy of a dive is equal parts art form and anguish. “It’s simultaneously terrifying and freeing,” said former Oberlin College diver Lucas Draper. “In the moment, if I mess this up, I might hurt myself. You want to be as pretty as you can, but also, eventually, you’re going to hit the water.”It’s a leap that leaves you vulnerable. “I’m actively aware that they’re watching me while I’m diving,” Draper said.
