Salem and Columbiana are touting a partnership, offering free transportation between two big events this weekend. The Salem Super Cruise and Columbiana Wine Festival will be connected by the Quakertown Trolley. The trolley will run between 4 and 9 p.m., with the last departing trip from Salem to Columbiana at 9.

    YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A stretch of Glenwood Avenue is looking a little brighter these days thanks to a program from the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Program aimed at improving lighting and cutting crime. Back in January, a pedestrian was hit at the intersection along Glenwood across from the Salvation Army and Southern Tavern. It’s something the YNDC is trying to shine a light on to avoid any more dark situations.

    AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Austintown school district is once again opening its doors this summer, not for class but for meals. The district is offering free breakfast and lunch to kids across the area, with no registration required. The summer meal program runs weekdays through the end of June. It takes a break before restarting again on July 14 to run through August 15.
