    EVANSVILLE – A motorist reportedly escaped injury after wheeling around multiple barricades and driving into a giant sinkhole on Riverside Drive Thursday afternoon, Evansville police said. A white Chevrolet truck was being towed from the scene as the Courier & Press arrived. Earlier photos on social media showed the vehicle deep inside the gravel-stuffed sinkhole. An Evansville police officer on scene said there were no injuries. The truck apparently came off Chestnut Street.
