COLUMBUS, Ohio — The St. Ignatius Wildcats were able to hang around at the beginning of Sunday’s OHSAA Division I state lacrosse championship and keep it close with the St. Xavier Bombers. Despite giving up a goal to go down two points just before halftime, the Wildcats were right in the mix. They came out and scored two of the first three goals to make it a one point game in the second half, but that was as close as they would get.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — On a day where Northeast Ohio winners were few and far between, the Glenville Tarblooders are right in the mix for a Division II title at the 2025 OHSAA state track and field meet. Glenville, which has traditionally flexed its muscle in the sprints, opened the day with a fifth place finish in the 4x800 (8 minutes, 0.85 seconds). That contributed four points to the team race in Friday’s only racing final. “Glenville track is a sacrifice,” Tarblooders junior Fernado Taylor Jr. said.
