Jonathan Smith

Jonathan grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina, where he spent his formative years working in kitchens and falling down on his skateboard. He moved to New York in 2008, mostly to pursue a career in media but also not because the food here is, like, really good. Before joining The Infatuation he was an editor at various publications, including VICE, Huck, Mic, and Eater, and his writing has appeared in The New York Times, GQ, Interview, Curbed, and elsewhere. Despite being from southeastern North Carolina, he isn’t all that crazy about vinegar-based BBQ. Source
