CLEARFIELD, Pa. (WTAJ)– The Clearfield Borough Council was set to vote Thursday night on a new ordinance that would require businesses to apply for a license to operate Pennsylvania Skills Game machines. However, the council decided not to vote on anything at the meeting, as not enough members were present to form a quorum. Four members of the council were present out of the eight seats, but only six of the seats are currently filled.

ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — After three years of extensive renovations the Blair County Chamber of Commerce welcomed a new, unique business to downtown Altoona on Tuesday. In what was the former McCory’s 5-and-10 Cent Store, which opened 125 years ago, now sits Center City Market. The new business is a unique food-court featuring seven businesses.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters held its annual awards luncheon on Friday in Harrisburg. WTAJ News was honored winning four awards, including outstanding television feature story, outstanding television public affairs program, outstanding breaking news story and a judge’s merit award. The biggest winner from the station was our Marty Radovanic who won the 2025 Television Broadcaster of the Year Award.

BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Cadets with the Brush Mountain Composite Squadron Civil Air Patrol put their skills to the test Thursday night as they went through multiple rounds of instruction. The cadets were subjected to physical training, procedures testing and mentorship. The Civil Air Patrol is an auxiliary branch of the Air Force and is actually older than the Air Force. The volunteer-based organization is focused on aerospace education and emergency response situations.
