(WTAJ)– For the 33rd year, the Blair County Law Enforcement Foundation recognized those who lost their lives in the line of duty with a service in front of the Blair County Courthouse Thursday evening. “Those still in the field and still working need to know that there is an organization and a group that is going to be out there and that is going to be able to stand up for them or to be here if something were to happen to any one of us,” Blair County Sheriff Jim Ott said.

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ)– Community members are asking serious questions after the opening night of the Vybe Nightclub in Johnstown was cut short due to a shooting that sent 4 women to the hospital. Just down the street from where the shooting happened, Johnstown City Council members hosted a meeting at the Kastle Boxing gym to hear the community’s concerns. Three of the four women who were shot have been released from the hospital, with the other in stable condition.

The bell is a part of an initiative by America250PA to celebrate Pennsylvania’s importance to the nation ahead of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026.

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ)– City officials, first responders and family members gathered at the Johnstown Public Safety Building Wednesday evening to celebrate and welcome the Johnstown Fire Department’s new chief and assistant chief. While both men are stepping into new roles neither is a new face within the department. The department’s new chief is Jim McCann, who has had a long journey through years of public service since starting at the department back in 2004.
