Cognitive deficits in psychotic disorders are debilitating, treatment-resistant and predict long-term functional outcomes. It is important to characterize and predict such deficits in the early phase of illness, where treatments may be more effective. In this study, we aimed to predict cognitive functioning in individual patients with early psychosis using connectome-based predictive models (CPMs) and identify clinical and sociodemographic factors that may affect prediction accuracy.

AbstractAutopsy studies indicated that the locus coeruleus (LC) accumulates hyperphosphorylated tau before allocortical regions in Alzheimer’s disease. By combining in vivo longitudinal magnetic resonance imaging measures of LC integrity, tau positron emission tomography imaging and cognition with autopsy data and transcriptomic information, we examined whether LC changes precede allocortical tau deposition and whether specific genetic features underlie LC’s selective vulnerability to tau.

AbstractUnawareness is a behavioral condition characterized by a lack of self-awareness of objective memory decline. In the context of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), unawareness may develop in predementia stages and contributes to disease severity and progression. Here, we use in-vivo multi-modal neuroimaging to profile the brain phenotype of individuals presenting altered self-awareness of memory during aging.
