Police were called to Crestfield Street last Thursday (May 29) at 7.09pm to reports of a man with a suspected weapon. Jake France, 34, was arrested at the scene and taken into police custody. He has since been charged with possession of an imitation firearm in a public place. France appeared at Highbury Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (May 31) and is due to next appear at Wood Green Crown Court on June 30.

Police were called to the crash involving two grey Ford Rangers on New Barn Road just before 9.30pm on Sunday (June 1). Three people from the same car were taken to hospital. Kent Police has confirmed that a four-year-old boy died at hospital and a 24-year-old man remains in hospital in a critical condition. A one-year-old girl also has minor injuries from the crash.

GP Pathfinders’ Chamberlayne Surgery, on Chamberlayne Road, is shut today (June 3) after the crash in the early hours of this morning. According to the GP, no staff or patients were at the scene during the crash and there are no reported injuries. Builders are on site carrying out necessary repairs and the GP is aiming to reopen within 24 hours. Patients are being contacted to reschedule their appointments at one of the other GP Pathfinder surgeries in Alperton, Wembley and Willesden.

Pond Street was closed off yesterday (June 2) after emergency services shut off the road at 7.51am. A cyclist reportedly crashed with a pedestrian on the road and medics were called to the scene to treat the injured man. He was then taken to hospital for treatment. The road was closed near to Royal Free Hospital and Hampstead Heath for three hours, with the 1, 46 and C11 bus routes diverted from the scene. The condition of the injured man is currently unknown.
