Police blocking off roads in Purley (Image: Alessio Galeone) A major Purley road has been shut for over 16 hours after a man died in a crash. Police have taped off Purley Way, with cars blocking off much of the road today (May 8). The cordon has been in place since emergency services were first called to reports of a single-vehicle crash at 11.13pm last night (May 7). The driver, a man in his 20s, was declared dead at the scene.
