WWE's ‘Monday Night Raw’ shifts from three hours to two hours for the first time since 2012 with Monday’s episode on USA and will remain at two hours for the remainder of the year. ‘Raw’ moves to Netflix beginning Jan. 6 as part of a 5-year, $10B deal .

V8 Supercars champion Jamie Whincup and French co-driver Sebastien Bourdais have taken out a carnage-filled race 1 of the V8 Supercars Gold Coast 600 in Surfers Paradise. With the international co-drivers all starting in the car, just 17 of the 28 cars made it through the shortened race (because of time constraints) and several didn’t even make a single lap.

Citroen driver Mikko Hirvonen has crashed whilst testing his DS3 WRC car in Tuscany, Italy. Hirvonen and co-driver Jarmo Lehtinen came away from the incident uninjured, but the same can’t be said of the DS3. Another lucky person is the one that caught the entire thing on film at close range. As you see in the clip below, the flying Finn clipped an embankment and flipped the Citroen onto it’s roof, shooting down the gully and onto its side.
Vodafone to end Triple Eight sponsorship after 2012

Mobile juggernaut Vodafone has announced it will end its title sponsorship of champion V8 Supercars team Triple Eight at the end of the 2012 season. Vodafone have made major cutbacks in their sponsorship budget, with Cricket Australia also getting the chop.
Sebastian Vettel wins third straight F1 world championship

Red Bull Racing’s Sebastian Vettel has won his third straight Formula One drivers world championship after finishing sixth in the season-ending 2012 Brazilian Grand Prix. Just a measly three points separated Vettel and Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso, who finished the race second. McLaren’s Jenson Button 2.7-second win over the Spaniard was all that stood between him and his third world title.

Just one week after he crashed heavily out of the Belgian Grand Prix, McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton has won the 2012 Italian F1 Grand Prix at Monza. The British driver lead from flag to flag and held off a fast finishing Sergio Perez in the Sauber. Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso – who was also involved in the crash the previous weekend at Spa – got an extra help in his championship campaign by finishing third.

Two of Australia’s most famous Ford racing teams have officially changed ownership for the 2013 V8 Supercars season. Stone Brothers Racing has announced that upon ditching the Falcons for Mercedes E 63 AMGs, it will now be officially known as Erubus Motorsport.
Mark Webber to start Belgian Grand Prix 12th after penalty

Aussie Mark Webber qualified seventh fastest for the Belgian Grand Prix at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, but will start from 12th after being handed a five grid place penalty for changing gearboxes after practice. McLaren driver Jenson Button has taken pole for the race, his first for McLaren Mercedes in what will be his 50th race for the team.
Red Bull dominates 2013 Malaysian F1 Grand Prix, 1-2 finish

Red Bull Racing has had its first one-two finish for the 2013 Formula One season, with Sebastian Vettel passing Australian teammate Mark Webber late in the race to steal the win at the Malaysian Grand Prix. After a dismal start from the front row the previous week at the Australian Grand Prix, Mark Webber went on a charge from row three when the lights went out at a soggy Kuala Lumpur circuit. By the end of the lap, he was second behind his world champion teammate.
