TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - The Toledo Walleye are heading back to the Kelly Cup Finals after defeating the Kansas City Mavericks on Saturday night at the Huntington Center. The Walleye won 5-2 in game five of the Western Conference Finals to clinch their second trip to the Kelly Cup Finals in four years and their third since 2019. The fish advance to face the winner of the series between the Trois-Rivières Lions and Florida Everblades. The Lions took a 3-2 series lead after winning Saturday night.

They say they want to prevent the same activity that led to the largest public corruption scandal in Ohio’s history. That $60 million bribery scandal surrounded House Bill 6 in 2019, a nuclear bailout bill that passed because First Energy bribed lawmakers, including the speaker of the house.

A large family from Fort Wayne, Indiana, was on a fishing trip Sunday evening in Fremont, Ohio, when multiple pedestrians were hit by a train, according to Fremont Mayor Danny Sanchez. The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. on a bridge above the Sandusky River, WTVG reports.
