SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Our hot and mostly dry weather will carry us through the weekend with only a few stray thunderstorms expected. Storm chances are expected to increase as we get closer to the 4th of July next week. Our temperatures are steady, and we expect no change over the next few days as we’ll be in the 70s at sunrise with highs in the mid-90s this afternoon with a light south breeze.

(KTAL/KMSS) – It will be another hot and humid day with a Heat Advisory until 6 p.m. Most areas were dry on Monday, but there is a slightly higher chance of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm today. Sunrise temperatures will be in the low to mid 70s with high humidity blanketing us for another day. Expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies through noon with temperatures topping out in the low to mid 90s late in the day.

(KTAL/KMSS) – The hot and humid weather will continue this week, with an active sea breeze serving up the hope of at least a few cooling showers and thunderstorms for the next few days. A Heat Advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. this evening. Temperatures will warm from the 70s this morning into the mid-90s this afternoon. High humidity will send our heat index to around 105 degrees for several hours this afternoon.
