SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Most areas of the ArkLaTex will be cooling into the 70s Friday through Sunday. There will be a few spotty showers and storms in the upcoming days. The rain goes away next week, and we will have a few days of early Summer. An area of low pressure continues to swirl north of the ArkLaTex, turning our wind to the northeast. This will cool our temperatures a few degrees today, with most locations enjoying highs in the mid to upper 70s.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A weak front will roll through the ArkLaTex today, cooling some areas into the 70s. Everyone will enjoy pleasant weekend temperatures, and we will get an early taste of summer next week. Sunrise temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s. There will be areas of patchy to dense fog through sunrise, but drier air behind the front will quickly bring out mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The worst of the weather is behind us as the threat of any heavy rain or severe weather is relatively low for the remainder of the week. Several lakes and rivers will remain in flood stage through at least the end of the week. The heavy rain has moved east of the region, but we will have pockets of drizzle and fog through 9 a.m. this morning. Temperatures will be in the low 60s early in the day, with some sun breaking through by the late morning and afternoon.
