    HAUGHTON, La. - If you travel along U.S. Highway 80 near Louisiana Downs, you may have noticed a few bumps in the road during your commute. The heavily traveled highway is currently under construction. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development is in charge of the project. It's similar to what was done recently to Youree Drive. DOTD spokeswoman Erin Buchanan said the plan is to patch, mill, and overlay the highway.

    SHREVEPORT, La. - The Shreveport Police Department is taking action after it became aware of a video showing one of its officers fighting, as well as this same officer posting several TikToks in uniform with vulgar language. SPD Chief Wayne Smith has placed the officer on leave and an investigation will take place. "We really want our community to know that the police department does not want these types of images to represent what we are about," said SPD PIO Cpl. Chris Bordelon.

    BOSSIER CITY, La. -The citizens of Bossier City made their voices heard in Saturday's election. Voters passed both propositions for term limits. Members of the Bossier Term Limits Coalition worked for over a year to get retroactive term limits on the ballot in Bossier City. The coalition's version stated that once a council member or mayor serves three terms, they can't run again. Both propositions passed with over 80% voting yes. "I am so excited.

The battle over term limits in Bossier City has been going on for over a year. Saturday's election could be the end of a long road because it determines what kind of term limits will go in the Bossier City Charter.
