    HILLDALE, WV (WVNS)– Deputies with the Summers County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Friday, March 28, 2025 about someone trying to break into a residence in the Hilldale area. The call was in response to a man, later identified as Norton Canterbury, attempting to break into the residence on Doug Craft Road, which was occupied by a woman who was in a relationship with Canterbury.

    TALCOTT, WV (WVNS)– A man has been charged in Summers County after a domestic assault incident involving firearms on Sunday, March 30, 2025. According to the Summers County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to Lowell Market in Summers County. The call was in response to a domestic argument that escalated into him displaying his handgun. While responding, deputies found out that both the victim and the suspect had left the store by car.
