    TEXARKANA, Ark. - Police are investigating a drowning involving a child at a Texarkana water park over the weekend. It happened at the Big Dam Waterpark located at the Crossroads Business Park on the Arkansas-side. Police say emergency responders administered CPR to the child at the waterpark. The child was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The Big Dam Waterpark has been operated under the management team of P23 Consulting since last summer.

    TEXARKANA, Texas - Texas A&M Texarkana is launching a new leadership development program called "EagleLEAD."The university is using grant funds from the Texas Pioneer Foundation to move the project forward. The Presidential Leadership Program is for high-achieving first time college students. It will be limited to 20 students each year. Students who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate in Transformational Leadership. The program begins this fall.
