CLEARFIELD – A Hyde man accused of possessing methamphetamine, cocaine and Fentanyl waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday. Steven Paul Shanechuck, 37, is charged with felony manufacture/delivery/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and misdemeanor counts of intentional possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He remains in the county jail in lieu of $75,000 bail.

CURWENSVILLE – A special trout stocking in memory of Lyle Domico was held on May 15 on the West Branch of the Susquehanna River in Curwensville. Founder and coordinator of Squirrel Tails for Trout, Pat Domico, arranged the stocking to honor his late brother. Lyle Domico was well known in the area as a successful football coach. According to his obituary, from 1962-1998, Lyle taught High School and coached football at three different schools: Cambria Heights, Johnstown Vo-Tech and Curwensville Area.

CLEARFIELD – A Curwensville man will stand trial for stealing phone wire and causing over $35,000 of damage to the owner’s system. Damion Scott McGary, 31, was charged by state police with felony counts of disruption of service, theft by unlawful taking, criminal mischief, receiving stolen property and theft of secondary metal in connection to his actions in Pike Township on Dec. 21.

CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield man, who allegedly exposed himself to juveniles at the River Walk, was in court to answer for his crimes Wednesday. Police say Brian Ray Beals, 62, was seen by the juveniles near the river on April 18 where he was allegedly touching his privates. Another witness said she saw him squatting as if he was relieving himself. She heard one of the kids yell to Beals that he was calling the cops.

CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield man accused of breaking into a motel room and threatening a woman pleaded guilty to this and three other cases on Tuesday during colloquy court. William Jonathan Hynd, 26, was sentenced to a total of nine months to 12 years in state prison for felony criminal trespass in one case, felony retail theft in a second case, misdemeanor criminal mischief in a third and misdemeanor terroristic threats and harassment in a fourth case.
