Conrad Wallem arrived at St. Louis CITY SC this winter on loan from SK Slavia Prague. And while CITY has struggled to produce goals in the face of key injuries, Wallem has proven to be a sort of Swiss Army knife for the club. Through the beginning of manager Olof Mellberg’s era in St. Louis, the 24-year-old midfielder has started seven matches up and down the formation. Wallem has pushed high on the right, dropped low on the left, and everything in between.

St. Louis CITY SC has struggled to score goals during the first six matches of the season, failing to score from open play in all but one game this season. While it’s a sobering stat, there was an offensive bright spot in the match against Austin FC on Sunday with Tomáš Ostrák and Célio Pompeu making their longest appearance together since returning from the injuries that prematurely ended their 2024 seasons.

Either U.S. District Judge Stephen Clark is a big fan of Tonia Haddix’s Chimp Crazy Lady Show video podcast, or someone who is briefed him on what its star was saying—none of which is likely to be to Haddix’s benefit. Haddix, the star of last summer’s hit HBO docuseries Chimp Crazy, pleaded guilty to two counts of perjury and one count of obstruction of justice in federal court in St. Louis this morning.

Marine Villa resident Sarah Ulrich says she was floored earlier this month when she got a postcard in the mail from the St. Louis Assessor’s Office, telling her that two nearby rental properties she owns had gone up in value—significantly. One property’s appraised value more than doubled, from $67,000 to $175,000, while another quintupled, from $20,000 to $100,000. The sense she got from talking to neighbors was that she was hardly an outlier.
