BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - The WKU Softball team fought to the very end but fell 6-4 in eight innings to Louisiana Tech, thus ending the Hilltoppers 2025 season in the Conference USA Tournament. Neither LA Tech (32-24) nor WKU scored through the first two innings, with Rylan Smith earning her 26th and final start of the season. In the top of the third, the Bulldogs plated their first run of the game.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - The WKU Softball (30-20-1) team split its first two games of the CUSA Tournament to advance to day three of the double elimination tournament. “I think we threw it well in the circle, I thought we hit it better in game two than we did in game one, played great defense in both games today, you know it’s survive and advance,” WKU head coach Amy Tudor said. The hosting Hilltoppers touched the field for the first time after receiving a bye as the 2-seed.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Just over a month ago, WKU Softball finished the month of March with a 4-7 in Conference USA and sat in 8th place. Since their series against LA Tech, the Hilltoppers have since won 11 conference games and locked up the #2 seed in the conference tournament with a 4-3 win over Jax State on Sunday. With the #2 seed, WKU has earned themselves a first-round bye along with #1 seed Liberty.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - WKU Women’s Basketball has announced two additions to the incoming class for the 2025-26 season. Greg Collins and his staff have inked South Florida Transfer Jeniffer Silva and Finland native Enni Ahervuo. Silva is a 6-foot-4 forward from Recife, Brazil. She spent the 2024-25 season at South Florida after transferring from South Plains Community College. She played in eight games last season. In 2023-24, Silva started in 29 games and appeared in 31 at South Plains.
