Program Director Kurtis Harms said they’re looking for 30 individuals involved in agriculture who want to develop their leadership skills.     GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Changes are coming to the Northwest Viking girls soccer coaching staff. Molly Nicol will replace Jess Herrmann as head coach. According to a social media post from the school, Nicol is a kindergarten teacher at Cedar Hollow and was a standout soccer player at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. The school said Herrmann will remain on staff as a teacher and basketball coach for the Vikings.

    KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - During the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s graduation ceremony Friday morning, Dr. Brianna Hoffman, the mother of the late Jack Hoffman, delivered the keynote address. Her message: “If God opens a door of opportunity, run through it.” She spoke about her family’s journey through cancer and the formation of the Team Jack Foundation. Dr. Hoffman read from a speech Jack gave about a year ago, when he was the commencement speaker at his high school graduation.

(KSNB) - Due to a statewide gas supply shortage, anyone who’s been to the gas station lately may have noticed certain blends or types of fuel are in low supply — or out of stock entirely. Bosselman Enterprises CEO Charlie Bosselman said refineries are in the process of switching from winter to summer blends, which has caused delays over the past few weeks. “We still have supply, but we have to work a little harder to find it,” Bosselman said.

    ST. PAUL, Neb. (KSNB) - At the end of April, the Howard County Senior Center made a surprising announcement: it would be temporarily closing its doors. Howard County Commissioner Kirt Lukasiewicz, chairman of the Howard County Senior Citizens Board, said he was informed on April 24 that the Midlands Area Agency on Aging had shut down the center due to staffing shortages.
