GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Three Grand Island Senior High School wrestlers signed letters of intent Wednesday morning to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. Among them is Hudson Oliver, who will join the reigning NCAA Division II national champion University of Nebraska at Kearney wrestling team. “Obviously it’s very exciting to go in and just have that culture there right away,” Oliver said.

(KSNB) - As pre-give starts for the Go Big Give fundraiser, there’s one nonprofit in Grand Island that hopes to meet their fundraising goal and bring in a new era for the Stolley Park Train. Ahead of Give Day, all donors to the project, over the age of 70 gathered by the Stolley Park Train, it was a reward for all their efforts with getting the new project to this point.

One of the ways they’re doing that is by not hiring new full-time employees in the 2025-2026 budgetary year. However, if a position that’s already on staff opens up, they can hire to fill it.

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Growth Technologies in Grand Island has been working to fill orders for farmers around central Nebraska. The product they sell is called ‘Nitro-Mag’; it’s a fertilizer created and mass produced from central Nebraska. So far in 2025, there have been no delays for the fertilizer plant in delivering products to customers.

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Nebraska is entering planting season, but in addition to raising crops, farmers and ranchers are watching what’s going on in the nation’s capital. Less than a week ago, the White House announced they would back off on tariffs for some countries for 90 days, but the 125% tariff on China will stay in place. That could have an impact on Nebraska agricultural products like soybeans. China is the largest importer of American soybeans in the world, to the tune of over $18 billion.
