    MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - U.P. Football All-Star Week officially started Monday. Players and coaches checked in to their residence halls and hit the field for each team’s first practice. More than 80 players were divided into Team Red and Team Black. It’s an entirely new experience for the athletes, playing with those they’ve been competing against throughout their high school careers. “It is great to get a bunch of guys from the U.P. all together,” Marquette wide receiver Kyler Sager said.

    EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLUC) - The Norway Knights baseball team saw its postseason run come to an end Friday against No. 1 Portland St. Patrick. The Shamrocks pitched a 7-0 shutout, only allowing three Norway hits. It was just the third time the Knights were held scoreless this season. Norway committed five errors in the field, which proved to be too much to overcome. Starting pitcher Cole Baij took the loss. Baij threw 5.2 innings, allowing six hits and four earned runs.

Waylon Sales made his commitment official by inking his national letter of intent to suit up for the Scots next season. Sales’ family and friends were in attendance to cheer him on Monday.
