    FARGO, ND (KXNET) — A Belcourt man has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison on child sex charges. Cole Jeanotte, 41, was charged with Abusive Sexual Contact of a Minor Under 12 Years of Age in a case going back to 2012. In addition to the 30 years, Jeanotte will also be on 10 years of supervised release once he serves his jail sentence.

    BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — The Burleigh County Sheriff’s K9 team is back to full strength with the addition of its newest member, Koi. Koi is one of the younger members of the K9 team at under two years old. He is a male Belgian Malinois, a breed often mistaken for German Shepherd. According to a post on the sheriff’s department Facebook page, Koi is partnered with Deputy Andrew Woodard. Both attended a 120-hour basic K9 course held out-of-state and returned late last month, ready to go.
