OLEAN — A little over five years for one and just under one year for the other, Tuesday marked the final Olean Board of Education meeting for two of its members. Kelly Keller, who was first appointed to the board to fill a vacancy in early 2020 and was elected to her seat later that spring, presided over her final meeting, serving as the board president since last July. Meanwhile, Tatina Warmely, who served as the ex officio student member, also concluded her one year on the board Tuesday.

OLEAN — The Cattaraugus County Health Department announced Wednesday that aerial larvicide spraying has begun this week as part of ongoing mosquito control efforts. Spraying will be conducted only over wetland areas in municipalities that have opted to participate in the program, which include Allegany, Carrollton, Great Valley, Hinsdale, Olean, Portville and Salamanca, officials reported.
