Pair of Falconer residents arrested after being found in possession of alleged "Ghost Gun" and high-capacity ammo magazine... City police have arrested two people from Falconer for allegedly being in possession of an alleged "ghost gun" and a high-capacity magazine during a traffic stop. Jamestown police say they stopped a vehicle in the area of Falconer and Thayer Streets just after 3 p.m. Thursday after seeing the driver commit traffic infractions.

City man arrested for Felony drug possession... A man from Jamestown has been arrested following a street check early last weekend during which he was allegedly found in possession of 28-grams of methamphetamine. City police say a patrol on the westside spotted 30 year-old Steven Schrecengost about 7 p.m. last Friday. Officers found that Schrecengost was sought on an active city court warrant for failure to appear.

Jamestown man convicted of rape and criminal sex act resentenced in County Court... A city man convicted of first-degree rape five years ago has now been resentenced in Chautauqua County Court to 18 years in prison and 25-years post-release supervision. District Attorney Jason Schmidt says County Court Judge David Foley Monday handed down the sentence to 40 year-old Dennis Park. Schmidt says Park also received an 18 year sentence...

Mayville man hurt after car hit's cow and overturns in town of Chautauqua... A Mayville man had to be treated for injuries after his car struck a cow on Morris Road in the town of Chautauqua last Saturday night. Sheriff's officers were called to the scene about 10:15 p.m., and found that 25 year-old Robert Grover was northbound when the accident occured. They say the vehicle went out of control when it struck the the cow... and, then overturned into a ditch.

Dunkirk man sentenced to seven-years in prison for guilty plea to weapons possession... A Dunkirk man has been sentenced to seven-years in state prison and five years post-release supervision after pleading guilty to being in possession of a firearm as a predicate Felon. Chautauqua County District Attorney Jason Schmidt has announced that 35 year-old Jesus Aponte-Rosario was sentenced Monday to the determinate term in County Court.
