SEATTLE — I visited five locations looking for the best bagels in Seattle, and I started off strong with a spot that promised New York-style bagels in the Ravenna neighborhood. Bagel Oasis Bagel Oasis has been around for close to 36 years. Since 1988, the owner, who is originally from New York, has brought the right texture, bake and taste to our city. I even ran into a couple of patrons from NYC who swear by this place.

SEATTLE — Happy holidays! This is truly my favorite time of year.   Amazon’s Winter Wonderland is free, family-friendly and open through Jan. 7. So, if you are looking for some holiday cheer look no further than across the Amazon spheres.   The Day 1 Playfield has life-size snow globes you can sit in for a real Instagrammable moment. I loved checking out these installations, grabbing a banana and listening to the incredible carolers. They even had a free hot chocolate bar when I went.

Formerly known as Kenna’s Cakes, she started her business from a San Francisco studio apartment and incorporated her love of art, architecture, fashion, textures and, of course, baking.
