WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) – A crash involving a semi tractor trailer has shut down portions of 1-10 Friday morning. According to Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened shortly before 5 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-10 at Mile Marker 120. According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, 1-10 eastbound lanes are closed between Mile Marker 112 in Bonifay and Mile Marker 120 in Chipley. Officials said no one was injured. They both became mentors through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida about five months ago. Jasmine said she loves playing basketball with her little, Aliyah, but they also enjoy doing arts and crafts together. “It’s been very rewarding,” said Jasmine Mobley.

FLORIDA (WMBB) – After plans to add golf courses, pickleball courts and even hotels at state parks across Florida got major backlash. A bill signed into law will officially prevent this. Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law that specifically bans the construction of golf courses, ball fields and sports facilities in state parks. This comes in direct response to DeSantis’ administration push to build such additions at nine state parks, including three in our area.

UPDATE: According to a news release, the woman has died from her injuries sustained during the crash. The Panama City Police Department said that the driver of the truck has been identified as 54-year-old Clynton Ray Davis of Panama City. Davis has been arrested for DUI Manslaughter after an investigation was conducted and has been transported to the Bay County Jail. Officers said that the criminal investigation is ongoing.
