    PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -, Niceville has itself a new head coach in place. That new coach is Richard Morgan, who comes south after a pretty good run as a head coach in Virginia and Georgia. Niceville Principal Charlie Marello introducing Morgan to the school Monday. Morgan takes over for Grant Thompson who somewhat surprisingly resigned as the Eagles head coach after a rather successful six year stint in the job. The program making the playoffs every season under Grant.

    SANDESTIN, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - It appears as if the PGA Tour could be coming back to the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in the Fall of 2026! And this time that event would be one a FedEx Cup Points PGA Tour event. Tuesday the Walton County Tourist Development Council unanimously voted to recommend a PGA Tour Sponsorship to the Board of County Commissioners.

    PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Latrell Sanders’ family and the extended Paxton family are mourning the 20-year old’s death, Sanders was killed Tuesday after his car veered off a westbound lane of I-10 near Defuniak Springs and hit a tree. Sanders life-flighted to a nearby hospital but died from his injuries. Latrell, a five-year varsity player at Paxton who was a four-year starter. He helped lead the Bobcats to three state final tournaments, including to the 2022 1A championship game.
