ATLANTA — After the Georgia Bulldogs' win over the Texas Longhorns last Saturday, a VERIFY viewer reached out about the SEC fine against Texas and where that money goes. In the third quarter, referees called a pass-interference penalty against the Longhorns, wiping out an interception and long return. In response, Texas fans started throwing water bottles and trash onto the field. The call was ultimately reversed, but the littering earned Texas a hefty $250,000 fine.

PARIS, France — On Friday at the 2024 Paris Olympics, swimmers from across the world jumped into the Seine River for the open-water marathon. The Seine has come under close scrutiny—and also the actual microscope—for daily checks of its water quality. The biggest concerns? The water quality and possible E. coli contamination. ATLANTA — We've all done it before, right? You accidentally drop your iPhone in the pool -- a full sink -- or maybe even jump in the ocean without realizing your device is in your pocket. Then, you rush to find a bag of rice to try to soak out all of the water within your phone. It's a "hack" that's been around for almost over a decade, but should you do it?

ATLANTA — Gov. Brian Kemp announced Tuesday afternoon he will send more Georgia National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas this spring in an effort to deter illegal immigration. In his address, he made the claim that 8.5 million people crossed the U.S.-Mexico border illegally throughout President Joe Biden's administration. Kemp also laid out some other numbers to support the need for Georgia's troops. Since 2019, the Georgia National Guard has been present at the border.

Just a reminder this is still going on. My water this morning smelled like straight chlorine 🙃

Today, we start the process of cleaning the water lines to ensure top quality. 👌The Washington Aqueduct will temporarily switch to chlorine for disinfection, until May 4. Your tap water IS safe to drink, but you might have a slight change in smell/taste. #DCWater https://t.co/emXXWGDR0k
