The boy was rushed to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — An 11-year-old boy died Monday night after he was shot in north St. Louis County. The St. Louis County Police Department said officers responded at 8:14 p.m. to a shooting on the 1800 block of Longford Drive. They arrived to find the boy suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was rushed to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

CHATHAM, Ill. — Three young children and a teenager were killed when a car barreled through a building used for an after-school camp in central Illinois, but authorities said Tuesday that the crash that sent six other children to the hospital was likely not a targeted attack. The car left a road, crossed a field and smashed into the side of the building in the small city of Chatham on Monday afternoon, Illinois State Police said in a statement.
