LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - As we transition away from the hottest stretch of temperatures we’ve seen in years...the new weather threat will include a series of thunderstorm chances in the coming days... The “heat ridge” responsible for the triple-digit readings across our area over the past few days has shifted to the east...meaning relief from the oppressively hot temperatures...but the frontal boundary helping push that ridge out of the area is expected to stall across our region.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Mother Nature will be bringing the heat...and increasing our humidity...over the next several days... Warm-to-hot conditions have moved into the region and are expected to linger into next week. Besides the increase in temperatures and dew points, a frontal boundary is expected to stall in the area giving us an almost daily thunderstorm chance as disturbances ride along-and-near the front.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Weak high pressure will bring mainly dry weather to most of 10-11 Country on Wednesday... Skies are expected to clear from west-to-east Tuesday night as the system responsible for the significant rains of the past two days slowly moves east. Here’s a look at rainfall totals thru 4pm Tuesday afternoon... A few showers will be possible across northern Nebraska on Wednesday...but most of the state will be rain-free and rather pleasant.
