    MCCOMB, Miss. (WJTV) – They say a city is only as good as its people, and there are some great people in McComb. Mayor Quordiniah Lockley said the downtown area of the city is coming back to life. “We saw a revitalization in our downtown. Here in the downtown area, we have seen the opening of Fox Pizza, Summit Street Wine & Spirits. The Palace Theater was built by Mr. Terry Solomon for a number of years. It was one of the many theaters that we had here in McComb. In the early 70s, it shut down.

    RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – The Reservoir is not only a great place to go boating or fishing, but it’s also a great place to live. The Rez is a 33,000-acre lake designed to hold water that flows down the Pearl River. There are different neighborhoods nestled along the reservoir. “If you can look around, it is a phenomenal asset to this area and to the state of Mississippi and to the south,” said Kenny Windham, president of the Board for the Pearl River Valley Water Supply District (PRVWSD).

The museum contains exhibits from several Natchez-related African American historic sites.
