Just two weeks after staging a public open house for the new Hunt Regional Medical Center Royse City and a month after the Hunt Memorial Hospital District successfully brought a $29 million bond before voters, management has begun tightening its financial belt. In an email sent to staff at the hospital, CEO Lee Boles spoke of the difficulties Hunt Regional is experiencing. Hospital officials on Friday released a follow-up statement to the initial email.

The Rockwall Art League has officially opened a call for entries for its 25th annual Juried Fine Art Show and Sale scheduled to take place Sept. 12–14. Artists working in a variety of mediums – including oil, acrylic, watercolor, drawing/digital art, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and mosaic – are invited to submit their work for consideration.
