Local organizers are inviting the community to join with others in Rockwall County for the National Day of Prayer set for next Thursday at The Center in Rockwall. The National Day of Prayer was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. In Rockwall County, a Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast will run from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. with the doors to The Center (108 E. Washington St.) opening at 7:30 a.m. and a continental breakfast available.
