A terminally ill man being cared for in a Leicester hospice has been comforted by two miniature goats. Greg Stevens-Kelsey was visited by Posie and Willow at the Loros hospice on Saturday. Mr Stevens-Kelsey has an incurable brain tumour and requested a visit from the therapy animals. The 53-year-old, from Hinckley, in Leicestershire, described the goats as "beautiful" and he has now requested they attend his funeral.

Hawa Khan is opening the venue in Evington Road, Leicester, with her sibling, Shamina, after studying for a PhD related to autism. She was motivated to take the course due to her 22-year-old son having the disorder. The siblings are expanding their autism hub, which has been helping people in the city for four years.
Leicester: Homes evacuated after car damages gas pipe in crash

A small number of residents were evacuated after a car crashed into a takeaway and damaged a gas pipe. The car was involved in a collision with another vehicle in Narborough Road before ploughing into the takeaway. Leicestershire Police confirmed no injuries were reported following the crash on Wednesday at about 18:40 GMT. A force spokesperson added that a small number of nearby properties were evacuated by the fire service after the incident.
Bitteswell donkey 'lonely' after death of goat best friend

The owners of a "lonely" donkey are seeking a new companion for him in time for Valentine's Day after his best friend, a goat, died. The donkey, called Harold, was left bereft in Bitteswell, Leicestershire, after the death of his goat friend Billy at Christmas. Owner Dot Smith said Harold was "lost" and still visited the shed his friend used to live in. She is now looking for a female goat to keep Harold company.
