FARGO — The Fargo Theatre hosted a special group of deaf or hard of hearing students from across northwest Minnesota for a movie screening Thursday, April 17. The scene was both a reunion and first time meet-and-greet, with just over two dozen deaf or hard of hearing students gathering to celebrate. FARGO — It was 160 years ago this week that people across America mourned the loss of their leader, Abraham Lincoln. One of those who wrote extensively about the assassination and the hours leading up to it was a bodyguard for Lincoln — Smith Stimmel of Fargo. Nicole Atherton is right at home at Charlie's Place — taking orders. "Iced latte," Nicole said proudly as she prepared a customer's order.

WAHPETON, N.D. — North Dakota State College of Science has announced it is bringing back one of its most successful career paths. The Aviation Maintenance Technology program is returning, this time to the Fargo campus. Back in the day, the school in Wahpeton was one of a few in the country to offer it, but the program was discontinued in the late 50s. But now it has new life, and it comes at a critical time in the aviation industry.
