(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) St. Joseph Mayor John Josendale joined Metronet as they official declared St. Joseph as a 'Gigabit City powered by Metronet'. The declaration event was hosted at the Pony Express Museum. Metronet donated $10,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank as a way to showing appreciation for the city of St. Joseph. "Today we were able to announce St. Joseph as a certified 'Gigabit City powered by Metronet," said Kyle Hamilton Executive Vice President of Construction for Metronet.

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The Freudenthal Center for Parkison's Disease hosted the 3rd annual Tulip Trot at Remington Nature Center. The 2024 Tulip Trit included a 5k and 1k race to raise funds to help pay for the expenses of the Freudenthal Center for Parkison's Disease. The Tulip Trot welcomed people from all over St. Joseph to help donate and participate in a race at the same time.

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The St. Joseph Animal Shelter recovered 22 puppies and now have become overcrowded with animals. The animal shelter has had a hard time finding space for more animals and are hoping more people begin to adopt. The animal Shelter says they have seen a large influx in puppies over the past year and are encouraging pet owner to have their animals spayed and neutered.

(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) The Allied Arts Council is hosting their 10th annual Beer Walk for the Arts fundraiser to help raise funds for eight art agencies in their program. The Beer Walk for Arts will include artist demonstrating their artwork and different food from local restaurants. "There's something for everyone," said Allied Arts Council Market Coordinator Kathy Reno.
