A storm system brewing in the Pacific is expected to bring rain, gusty winds and possibly thunderstorms to Southern California on Thursday. “For tomorrow … Moderate to heavy rainfall is possible, especially in the afternoon hours. A cool and wet start to the week is underway for Southern California Monday morning with forecasters adding gusty winds to the mix as well. Overnight showers left roadways slick for Southland commuters with “light rainfall through the afternoon hours” expected, KTLA’s Kirk Hawkins said. Rain totals are expected to remain relatively light with Monday’s showers bringing around a quarter of an inch or less to most areas of Los Angeles County.
