Several seafood lovers walked up to a sad sight at Bossier's Joe's Crab Shack: a simple sign thanking the community for their support and asking us to find a sister location to visit soon. Could it be the same reason Hooters on the Louisiana Boardwalk closed its doors? Just a couple of months ago, Hooters announced that it would not renew its lease and closed its doors at the end of April. Shortly after that closure, Sweet Caroline's at the Boardwalk closed its doors at the end of May.

Have you started spotting crawfish in random spots throughout Shreveport? My pup and I just walked up on crawfish after crawfish during an evening walk. My first thought was to look around to see if some wandering mudbugs got away from a boil. Did a crawfish truck turn over and spill crawfish nearby? Have you scrolled through TikTok lately and seen videos of crawfish seemingly taking over roads in South Louisiana?

If you escape Shreveport often, you've probably thought about your next adventure. When was the last time you went on a field trip? One of my favorite things to do every single spring is to visit Anderson Farms in Coushatta. I am a sucker for a documentary where I can learn about things I never knew I was interested in.

Shreveport is only 45 minutes away from a museum dedicated to Bonnie and Clyde. For the last 32 years, the town of Gibsland has held a Bonnie and Clyde Festival. The crazy part about the Bonnie and Clyde Museum is who runs it. L.J. “Boots” Hinton is the son of one of the gunmen who took down Bonnie and Clyde. Talk about a crazy connection. You can meet "Boots" inside an old building that used to be a cafe. Legend has it that the cafe was the last stop the dangerous duo made before being ambushed.
