SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – An NBA legend was tapped to lead operations for the New Orleans Pelicans after the organization ousted David Griffin on Monday. According to ESPN, Joe Dumars, who previously played for and served as president of the Detroit Pistons, is reportedly finalizing a deal to become the Pelicans’ President of Basketball Operations. Dumars was the Pistons’ president from 2000 to 2014, and the team won the NBA Championship in 2004.

BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Bossier City Police Department is investigating a shooting that led to multiple arrests. BCPD was called to the 3000 block of Oliver Street for a reported shooting. The investigation led to the arrest of three individuals, including Datalion Goode, 18, who the Bossier City Violent Crimes Unit arrested for three counts of attempted second-degree murder and aggravated criminal property damage.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Two men were arrested after attempting to steal copper wiring from a utility pole in Cedar Grove. Police say the men identified as Paul Dupuy IV and Adam Anglin were in the 200 block of East 70th on Sunday, just after 3 p.m., when patrol officers saw them cutting copper wiring from a utility pole in a nearby alleyway. The suspects were dressed similarly to city workers and driving “a beat-up vehicle”.
