Adams County's Opioid Abatement Council is reviewing applications from organizations across the county seeking grant funding.     Aurora City Council members approved the next phase of a project to revitalize part of the Colfax Avenue corridor in a study session Monday night. Brad Segal, the president of consulting company Progressive Urban Management Associates (PUMA) presented findings from the first phase of the project to councilmembers Monday, which included studying the needs of northwest Aurora to narrow down how the city should go about the revitalization process, Segal said.

    Remodeling begins this week on Aurora's Martin Luther King Jr. Library using $2.5 million in federal funding, according to a news release Monday. Construction began Monday on the remodeling project, which will make the building's second floor accessible by the public for the first time since its construction in 2004, the release said. The library at 9898 E. Colfax Ave. will be open throughout the construction process, with "minimal disruption" to current services.
