Bishop David M. O’Connell of the Diocese of Trenton will celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving following the election of Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost to the papacy. Bishop O’Connell will commemorate the election of Pope Leo XIV on Saturday, May 10 at 5 p.m. in St. Gregory the Great Church located at 4620 Nottingham Way in Hamilton Square. Bishop O’Connell commented in a released statement.

The conscious reaction to homicide stimuli represents a healthy inability to let go of the past. If we desire better conditions, safe environs for our youth, then remaining familiarized with both pain and devastation associated with teen homicides seems appropriate.

Recreational upgrades continued yesterday at Hetzel Field as city employees removed old fencing and removed obsolete dugouts. Paul Harris, director of Recreation, Natural Resources and Culture, said improvements will follow, including new fencing and a backstop for one baseball field. “Plus, there will be an installation of a new, three-lane track for walkers and runners. We have quite a few people who exercise there,” Harris said.
