LANSING, Mich — Lansing's three city-owned cemeteries are operating at a significant deficit, with expenses far exceeding revenue according to city officials. City of Lansing has 3 city owned Cemeteries, Mount Hope, North and Evergreen. City officials said the revenue made at these locations, doesn't compare to the expenses. Watch video for more details. Mount Hope Cemetery spans 83 acres and contains around 33,000 burials dating back to its opening in 1874.

LANSING, Mich — Residents at Sycamore Townhomes are scrambling to find new housing after receiving 30-day notices to make way for a court-approved $15 million rehabilitation project. Contributing to the project, day in and day out, is contractor in training Miracle Sparkman. “We’re just about to finish this house, we’ll be finish in about two weeks,” Sparkman said. Owned by the Ingham Count Land bank, pretty soon the home will help further the groups mission.
