    Officials in Camden County let data back up their claims that crime in the area is at the lowest its been in five decades. "We had 17 documented murders in 2024. The last time we were that low was in 1985, 40 years ago," Camden County Police Department Chief Gabriel Rodriguez said. Back in 2012, the Camden City's mayor agreed to reform the police department which led to the creation of the Camden County Police Department in 2013.

    More than 30 cats were rescued from a home in South Philadelphia after the owner died. ACCT Philly is handling the adoption of 33 cats that were found inside a home when firefighters were called there for a deceased person. ACCT Philly says the original owner had twice the number of pets one can legally have in the city. The cats have been nicknamed "the Mifflin Muffin Crew," named after the street they were found on.

    A man accused of being the ringleader in a series of thefts throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs has been arrested, according to the District Attorney's Office. Chaun Davis, 45, was charged in connection to several incidents where items were stolen from cars in the city between January and October, 2024, the office said. Police think they can link Davis to 20 jobs after they identified him on video at several locations.

    Another Wawa is closing in Center City Philadelphia, making it the next in a series of closures. This time it is the store located at 16th and Ranstead streets in Center City across from the Shops at Liberty Place. It will officially be closing on Sunday, December 8, 2024. The store has already begun preparing by taking away the aisles and little products on the shelves. The store has a sign posted notifying customers of the closure. "Some people don't have a car. This is a walkable city.
