ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — This year’s Memorial Day parade in Altoona honored fallen service members and those who didn’t come home, as it always does. The parade also honored Lloyd Peck, a Marine veteran who served as the Vice Commander for the Blair County War Veterans Council. Peck passed away this past March at the age of 93. Before he passed, he would often help organize the Veterans and Memorial Day parades every year. WTAJ spoke with him at last year’s ceremony.
