ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — Over 400 young bowlers have visited Holiday Bowl in the past two weeks. It’s for the Pennsylvania United States Bowling Congress 21st Annual Youth Open Championship Tournament. More bowlers are also competing at the Bedford Elks Country Club. The annual tournament awards almost $40,000 in scholarships every year. “It’s a great opportunity, and unlike some other sports, kids can earn these scholarships from any age from 8 to 18. So they don’t have to be seniors.
