Co-owners of the White Rose Restaurant Group Tom Sibol and Jeremiah Anderson are dividing ownership of their jointly held hospitality brands, according to a news release. As part of the agreement, which was finalized on Monday, April 14, 2025, Sibol will assume full ownership of the White Rose Bar & Grill, a flagship establishment in downtown York since 1933.

While restaurant owners support the change, some residents cite concerns about aesthetics, accessibility, and traffic flow. The city plans to allow restaurant owners to paint murals on the barriers to improve their appearance. While North George Street won't be closed for Dining in the Street this summer, residents will still have the chance to dine along York's Restaurant Row. But the new look is raising some eyebrows.

As the May 7 REAL ID deadline approaches tomorrow, Americans are scrambling to their local DMV to secure one before the deadline, and York County is no exception. And while the DMV is regularly known for its long lines, the crowd of 125 waiting outside Tuesday morning in York Township was more than normal for a Tuesday. One man brought a book, some brought friends for company; one even brought his own chair. Erik Dukes got in line at 8:30 a.m. when the DMV first opened this morning.
