Gregory Cierniakoski, 42, is accused of pulling the knife during a domestic argument with a 73-year-old woman on Brader Drive and saying, “I’ll cut your heart out.”Police charged Cierniakoski with simple assault and making terroristic threats. Magisterial District Judge David A. Barilla arraigned him on the charges and set bail at $1,000.

    Three Somerset County males were were sentenced Tuesday for illegally killing 19 white-tailed deer over a two-month period in 2020. The Pennsylvania Game Commission, Southwest Division, said that the trio were hunting illegally at night in several different areas in the county, using a spotlight to see and shooting the deer from a vehicle. While officials confirmed 19 killed deer, they said they believe the three might have killed as many as 31.
