A proposed new policy to prevent a local nonprofit from ever again compensating Tulsa Public Schools employees or funding school initiatives without school board knowledge is temporarily on hold. The agenda for the TPS Board of Education’s April 8 meeting included language indicating that a proposed policy outlining the relationship between the school district and the Foundation for Tulsa Schools would be subject to a vote at the board’s next regular meeting.
