PORT ARANSAS, Texas —  The 28th annual SandFest returns to Port Aransas this weekend but this time with a twist. Due to water restrictions the organizers are using an alternative water source to keep the event on track. Instead of tapping into the city's water supply, SandFest President Scot Deason said they're turning to pond water from a private well to keep those sculptures standing tall. "This year one of our sponsors is donated some pond water locally here in town.
