    CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation will be raffling off another one of Jean Riker’s lovingly handmade tee shirt quilts at the “Run To Remember” 5K Run/Walk on May 3. The race/walk will start and finish at Gold Star Families Memorial and Park, 1410 S. Special Olympics (formerly known as Museum Campus Drive). Ricker, 83, has stitched together over 70 quilts made from Chicago police tee shirts from different departments and events.

    CHICAGO — A Chicago Fire Department captain died of injuries he suffered fighting a garage fire in Chicago’s West Side Austin neighborhood. Captain David Meyer died when the structure collapsed on him, fire officials said. Meyer joined the Chicago Fire Department in 1996 and was assigned to Truck 29. He leaves a wife, three daughters and a son. “Please keep his family in your thoughts,” CFD spokesman Larry Langford said on X.

He’s making things happens and helps the offense score runs. Although he is hitting a robust .356, Hilger does more than just swing the bat. He has scored 19 runs, walked 10 times, and is 7-for-8 stealing bases. He currently leads the Spartans in both runs scored and stolen bases.
