Last Friday, my daughters’ school sent out the new guidelines about penalty notices and how they will be issued from the next academic year. For a first offence, it’s £160 per parent, per child – £80 if paid within 21 days. For a second offence within three years, you pay £160 per parent, per child, with no reductions available.

In 2023 a HR survey confirmed that 37 per cent of employers reported an increase in grievances in the past 12 months.
