LAS VEGAS – Elvis Rodriguez will now seek a rematch to his most recent bout where he believed he was wronged on the scorecards. A tightly contested ten-round junior welterweight bout with Mexico’s Lindolfo Delgado saw Rodriguez unlucky to have left with a majority decision defeat. Scores of 96-94 on the cards of Eric Cheek and David Sutherland overruled Chris Migliore’s 95-95 tally in their ESPN+ co-feature Saturday evening from the Pearl Concert Theater in Palms Casino in Las Vegas.

LAS VEGAS – Mike Bazzel wasn't working the corners every week as a cutman when he met George Foreman or Muhammad Ali. 'The Mechanic' was merely a fan at the time of each meeting, but that didn't stop him from turning those experiences into important memories. Sadly, Foreman passed away on March 21. He was 76. Bazzel went with some of his friends to see Foreman’s second fight of his ring return following a ten-year ring absence.

Kenny Sims Jnr is awaiting a fight date and he hopes it is against his rival Oscar Duarte. Sims Jnr was originally set to fight Duarte last November as a part of Golden Boy Promotions “Latino Night.” A leg injury forced him to withdraw from the fight, however. Sims, 22-2-1 (8 KOs), is now on a nine-fight winning streak after a 10-round unanimous decision over Kendo Castaneda in February on a card headlined by Duarte, 29-2-1 (23 KOs), who himself has won three in a row.

Shelly Vincent is a retired junior featherweight from New London, Connecticut, who finished her career with a record of 27-2 (1 KO). BoxingScene had a chance to catch up with Vincent, 45, ahead of her induction into the Women’s International Boxing Hall of Fame on Saturday at the Orleans Casino & Hotel in Las Vegas. LAS VEGAS – Abdullah Mason celebrated his 21st birthday in style Saturday night here at the Pearl Theater at the Palms Casino and Hotel. Mason, of Cleveland, notched a sixth-round technical knockout over Carlos Orlenas, of Bahia Ascension, Mexico, when referee Raul Caiz Jnr determined Orlenas was unfit to continue. The official time of stoppage was 3 minutes of the sixth. Orlenas took the fight on two weeks’ notice when Giovanni Cabrera, Mason's original opponent, pulled out of the fight.
