CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — It started as a leotard company back in the 1980s in her mother’s living room. Now, Jill Fox is expanding Foxy’s Leotards with a gift shop near Alto, offering something for everyone. Foxy’s will celebrate its grand opening Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 8358 68th St. near Whitneyville Avenue in Caledonia Township. The celebration will include food trucks, giveaways, prizes and other fun activities.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — An endowment fund provides resources to LGBTQ+ organizations as advocates say it’s hard to find funding opportunities. Our LGBTQ Fund is one of four community partnership funds through the Grand Rapids Community Foundation, an organization that has invested more than $314 million since 1930. The fund was first established back in 2014 with a focus on helping youth experiencing homelessness.

HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — New production lines are up and running at the LG Energy Solution plant in Holland, but they aren’t making EV batteries as originally planned. Construction on the massive $1.4 billion expansion started in 2022 at LG Energy Solution Michigan facility, which first opened at 1 LG Way off of 146th Avenue in 2011. Now, the expansion is up and running, and on Tuesday, the company hosted an event to offer a first look.

When she was 10 years old, Nicole Ver Kuilen lost her leg to osteosarcoma, or bone cancer. Her insurance would only cover one prosthesis, and it wasn’t waterproof, wasn’t meant for physical activities and frequently broke when she ran or participated in sports.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Tickets are on sale already for the three-story maze coming to downtown Grand Rapids as part of ArtPrize. Arborialis, an inflatable “dreamscape” from Architects of Air in the UK, will be set up at 555 Monroe Ave. near I-196 from Sept. 19 through Oct. 4. The 12,000 square-foot, three-story (32 feet at its tallest point) exhibit will be an immersive, sensory experience with light, sound and color. Tickets are on sale now for the installation.
