Long Road Distillers specializes in making spirits from Michigan ingredients, using everything from Michigan-grown grains to Michigan-grown fruit.

    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Work is underway on a new otter habitat at the John Ball Zoo. The new exhibit will be located at the entrance of the zoo and will have room for up to five North American river otters. Currently, the zoo has two otters, Slyde and Quigley, according to the zoo’s website. The new 3,200-square foot habitat will triple the size of their 43-year-old home, the zoo said in a release.

    GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Grand Rapids Public Library Mobile Library is hitting the road for the summer starting this month. The GRPL Mobile Library will be stopping at apartment complexes, plus the new Boston Square community center, throughout the summer. While there, it will offer patrons a chance to sign up for library cards and will have books, movies and other materials available to check out. It will also offer free Wi-Fi and information about other library programs.

Hunting YMCA said there will be construction fencing near its front starting Monday as crews work on the Amway Stadium. It said its doors will remain open during the project.
