KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Family and friends gathered Sunday to remember Dominick Yadloczky, who was hit and killed by a car last month. More than 50 gathered in downtown Kalamazoo for the memorial. Police say Yadloczky was running in the traffic lanes of S. Sprinkle Road near Covington Road in Kalamazoo when he was hit on March 26. He died at the scene. He was 22, according to his family. On Sunday, family and friends shared memories of Yadloczky.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — There is a measles outbreak in Montcalm County, according to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. An outbreak is defined as three or more related cases of measles. As of Thursday, the county has confirmed three cases, MDHHS said. This brings the statewide total measles cases this year to seven. The first case in Montcalm County was reported April 9.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A man pulled over for reckless driving was linked to a hit and run and an assault, police say. Troopers responded to a complaint of reckless driving on Union City Road in Coldwater Township, Michigan State Police said in a Wednesday release. After finding the vehicle, they linked the driver to a hit and run in Sherwood Township, another reckless driving and road rage complain in Athens Township and an assault in Athens, MSP says.

Abdul El-Sayed, 40, is the second Democrat to put his name in the running in what could be one of the most watched races in the 2026 midterm elections.
