Jeff Peterson is stepping into the role and hopes to gain people’s trust the old-fashioned way. “My big thing is communication,” he said. “My door is always open. HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - There are currently several alternate bus stops for students due to the ongoing river flooding, but state troopers said while pick-up spots may change, rules of the road to keep kids safe remain the same. More than 25,000 Horry County students are riding the bus to and from school each day, and state troopers said you can expect to see more of them out keeping an eye on the road during this first week of school. CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) - Coastal Carolina University is set to welcome new students moving in over the next four days ahead of the new academic year.
